Teacher Biography

Hi, I’m Jaqlyn Ward, and I’m so excited to be part of the Dillon Middle School community!

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Music Education from the University of Montana Western in 2015 and have spent the past 11 years teaching band, choir, and general music to students in grades EK–12. I began my teaching career in Geyser, Montana, and have spent the last eight years teaching in Twin Bridges. Music has been a passion of mine since middle school, and I feel incredibly fortunate to share that passion with my students while continually finding fresh and creative ways to make music meaningful and exciting for them. 

I believe music plays an important role in the development of growing minds. It provides opportunities for social-emotional growth, teamwork, creativity, and self-expression while helping students build confidence and connections with others.
