News From Parkview Elementary Student Handbook
Parents are encouraged to check planners/backpacks daily to monitor homework.
Make-up Work
Absent students will receive make-up work for all essential practice, including both homework and class assignments upon their return to school. A student has two days for every day he/she is absent to complete make-up work at home.
Long-term projects: If a child is absent or knows he/she will be absent on the day a project is due, he/she is still responsible for turning in the completed work on the due date or immediately upon his/her return to school.
*** If your child has to leave school for an appointment or is going off campus for lunch, please send a note to me ahead of time. Your communication helps me to have your child ready upon your arrival. Thank you! Thank you!

Planners
Thank you for sharing your highly valued child with me. We are going to have a productive year!
Monday through Friday morning of each week, your child will transport this student planner back and forth between school and home. This planner is designed to help each student manage his/her school responsibilities. Additionally, I will use the planner as an occasional message center.
Together, we can work to maximize learning by increasing each child’s accountability. A quick, nightly signature at the bottom of each daily column in the planner will indicate that your child completed their/specified tasks.
Thank you for supporting your child’s education and for communicating with me. I look forward to working with you.
