1st Grade Super Heroes In Training

Welcome Back!!! I am so excited to be your child's teacher. I pray everyone enjoyed their summer break. It's my hope that this school year will be full of successful experiences for all students, as well as myself. I will be teaching your child Reading and Social Studies. I am looking forward to a productive partnership with you to ensure our students excel and grow. I realize in order for our students to be successful in school, they must have support from home and school. I will do my very best to carry out my responsibilities as your child's teacher . It is very important that your child attends class everyday. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to email, text, Classdojo me and I will do my best to answer your question. Remote Learning Classroom Rules

  2. Have paper and pencil at the beginning of class.

  3. You must sit straight in a chair and not lie down.

  4. Give your best effort.

  5. Be attentive.

  6. Raise your hand and wait to be called on.

  7. Use good manners: PLEASE AND THANK YOU

  8. Use appropriate voice volumes for the setting.

  9. Use the bathroom sign for the bathroom.

  10. No eating or drinking during class.

  11. Turn in your homework when you are done.

Explain the importance of folklore and celebrations and their impact on local communities.

Students will watch video via BrainPOP Jr Pueblo


Monday- Pueblo people are known for their beautiful pottery. Create your own design for a pot or bowl.

Tuesday- An ancestor is a family member from the past. Tell a story about one of your ancestors.

Wednesday- Native American communities are not all the same. Compare and contrast a Pueblo community with another community.

Thursday- QUIZ!!!



S- is for the setting. It tells us when and where.

T- Is for the talking characters. The whom which we compare.

O- is for Oops There's A Problem! The conflict which revolves.

R- is for resolution, the steps for us to solve.

Y- is for Yes! Woohoo!!! The Solution has been found.

Please practice this strategy when reading with your child!


Monday- Bake spaghettis ( beef ), corn, green peas, wheat grain rice, mandarin oranges and milk

Tuesday- Fish sticks, green peas, baked fries, pears and milk

Wednesday- BBQ turkey meatballs, lima beans, roasted sweet potatoes, whole grin roll, pineapples and milk.

Thursday- Hamburger, green beans, corn, whole grain bun, fruit cocktail and milk
