Sta. Cruz, Ilocos Sur — Neither downpour nor scorching heat could halt the mission.

The DILG Sta. Cruz, led by MLGOO Leilanie May M. Aguilar, pressed forward rain or shine to conduct the 2nd Quarter Assessment and Validation under the KALINISAN sa Bagong Pilipinas campaign.

From July 9 to 11, 2025, the team—joined by the PNP, BFP, CSO partners, and local functionaries—reached 12 barangays, namely: Amarao, Candalican, Dili, Sidaoen, Camanggaan, Besalan, Poblacion Weste, Pilar, Pattiqui, Gabur Sur, Villa Garcia, and Capariaan.

Through muddy paths and sun-soaked roads, the team upheld the spirit of service, checking on each barangay’s compliance with national cleanliness and orderliness standards. Their presence reinforced the essence of the Bagong Pilipinas movement: a government that shows up—no matter the weather—to stand beside its communities.
