2024 DILA Classical Buddhist Chinese Language

Summer Workshop

The Office of International Affairs at Dharma Drum Institute of Liberal Arts announces the applications are open for our forthcoming summer program, '2024 DILA Classical Buddhist Chinese Language Summer Workshop.' Currently enrolled graduate students with a foundation in classical Buddhist Chinese languages and texts are encouraged to apply. 

The program is centered on learning classical Chinese Buddhist language through textual readings and translation, from Indian Prajñāpāramitā and Madhyamaka texts in Chinese translation, to Chinese Sanlun tradition texts and the Chan tradition Platform Sutra.

7th July to 4th August 2024

Dharma Drum Institute of Liberal Arts (DILA), Jinshan, Taiwan R.O.C.

Eligibility:
Currently enrolled graduate students with a foundation in classical Buddhist Chinese languages and texts.

Costs:
DILA offers housing subsidies throughout the duration of the study, while participants are responsible for covering their airfare and meal expenses.
