Here at BEYOND THE BOX (BoxTalks Inc.), we are committed in safeguarding the privacy of the guest / customers / clients, that we interact with on a daily basis by providing an innovative experience. This privacy policy explains how we handle personal data as defined by RA10173 (otherwise known as the Data Privacy Act of 2012) that we collect as you engage with our products and services.
PERSONAL DATA WE COLLECT
When you buy our products, engage in our store services or avail any of our exciting promo, we collect your personal data such as your such as your name, address, mobile numbers and email address. If you will be paying using your debit/credit cards, we may opt to ask for your valid identification cards. When you availed our services, warranties and promos, you will be asked to fill out forms and disclose some personal information. We also collect customer feedbacks and survey forms to include our services.

BoxTalks, Inc. (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to transparency regarding the data we collect when you use the TechBitesPH mobile application. To provide a functional and personalized experience, we collect and process certain information, including but not limited to:
Device Identifiers: To optimize app performance and track technical bugs.
Usage Data: To understand how users interact with our content.
Location Information: As detailed in the section below.
LOCATION DATA DISCLOSURE
To provide the core features of TechBitesPH, we may access and/or collect your location data.
1. Types of Location Data Collected
We may collect precise or approximate location information through various technologies, including GPS, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth signals from your mobile device.
2. Purpose of Collection
TechBitesPH accesses this location data for the following specific purposes:
Localized Content: To deliver tech news, event updates, and promotions relevant to your specific region in the Philippines.
Feature Functionality: To allow users to find stores near their location and display their distance from the user. Allow users to view or redeem offers specific to a certain store - restricting selection to nearby branches serves as a vital security protocol, safeguarding accounts against unauthorized or fraudulent redemptions.
Service Optimization: To analyze regional user trends and improve our service delivery.
3. Usage and Control
Location data is accessed only when necessary to perform these functions. You can enable or disable location services at any time through your device’s system settings. Please note that disabling location access may limit your ability to use certain geo-specific features within the TechBitesPH app.
OUR PURPOSE FOR COLLECTING
We collect your personal data as part of our security and payment procedure. Your data will also be used in processing warranty and service contracts. Your personal data may also be used to generate aggregate statistical reports that will be used as input to improve our processes and services.
WHAT WE DO WITH THE COLLECTED PERSONAL DATA
Your personal data is stored in the store logbook, online system monitoring, and recordings of our CCTV system. All these locations are kept safe and secured 24/7 by our accountable personnel. Access to your personal data is limited only to our data processing unit. These personal data are not used, processed, or shared outside of the stated purpose of collection. The CCTV recording is kept for a maximum of 90 days while the logbook and online visitor management system data are kept for a maximum of 3 years after the point of data collection. Disposal of your personal data are done in a secure manner where the logbooks are shredded and digital data wiped securely.
