Orient the youth to think about advocacy of personally relevant issue before thinking about data.
Open discussion to know what do the youth want to change in their community and what they want to advocate for.
Have each youth suggest atleast 5 topics they are interested in.
Storyboarding might help them identify components of the message (which might be difficult to do it all in a poster) and also expose their thinking process.
Empty story board templates and templates on google slides.
Sample storyboards for examples of how to create them.
Topic of interest: We chose Black Owned businesses
Data sources on the topic (not necessary that the youth will use it).
The participants work in groups of two, to come with a campaign story for the change they want to bring about.
Each group presents the story to other groups and vote for the things that make a campaign a good campaign.
