Directions
1. Complete this form if the tool requires installation,and/or is paid with district funds, and/or student accounts. This includes any tool students can join with "Sign-up with Google" or join using a class/group code. If it's just a website that students view or interact with, you don't have to complete the entire form. If the site is blocked, submit a web filter request below.
2. Please check the Dieringer Digital Tools page before proceeding to see if this tool has been vetted.
3. If you are requesting multiple tools, please complete a form for each tool.
4. The evaluation process will take approximately two weeks. Depending on the nature of the request, the evaluation process may be longer. If you are proposing the tool be funded by the building or district, your request may take much longer due to the committees only meeting a few times during the year.
Tool Designation
The evaluation process will determine if the digital tool or hardware is Supported, Allowed, or Not Allowed.
Supported Tool: Technical support. Training provided. District/Building funds may be provided.
Allowed: Technical support and training is limited or not provided. Technical support and training for Supported Tools (digital and hardware) are prioritized. District/Building Funds are not provided.
Not Allowed: Tool may not be used with students. No support provided.
Evaluation Process
Once the request is submitted, the tool will be evaluated at 2 or 3 levels: Technical, Legal, and Curricular.
The IT Department will review the tool for system compatibility and account provisioning.
The Technology Integration Coach will review the privacy policy and terms of service.
If the tool contains curricular content, the Curriculum Instruction Assessment Committee or Local Buildings will evaluate the tool, depending on if the tool is core curriculum or supplemental.
