SCIENTIFIC COORDINATOR

FABIO FABBRIZZI

Architect Ph.D. Associate Professor in Architectural and Urban Design at the DIDA, University of Florence. In addition to this discipline, he also teaches Exhibition Design at the Academy of Fine Arts of Florence, and Exhibition and Museography at the Specialization School in Architectural and Landscape Heritage of the University of Florence, and Exhibition Design at the School of Architecture of the University "Our Lady of Good Counsel" of Tirana. His theoretical and design research develops within the many aspects defined by the relationship between memory and contemporaneity, addressed through the sensitive interpretation of the diverse peculiarities of the characteristics of places. He is the author of numerous projects and research, as well as monographs, essays, and scientific articles within the broad horizon of the design discipline, expressing his own compositional itinerary in the various fields of architecture, particularly in museography and exhibition design. 

DIDA RESEARCH TEAM

ANDREA RICCI

Architect and Ph.D. Researcher at DIDA, University of Florence.  Has oriented his didactic and research choices towards the themes of architectural design in places marked by historical presences. Participates in research in Israel as the person in charge of the musealization of historical sites. 

CECILIA MARIA ROBERTA LUSCHI

Architect and Ph.D. Researcher at DIDA, University of Florence. Master’s degree in Architecture and Arts for Liturgy at the Pontifical Athenaeum of St. Anselm. She studies Medieval architectural and geometric rules of construction. She is involved in research activities in Armenia and Israel where she leads official Italian research missions.



NOVELLA LECCI

Architect and Ph.D. candidate in Architecture and design cultures, knowledge, and safeguarding of cultural heritage at DIDA, University of Florence.

Her research interests focus on the study of drawing, representation, and survey of architectural and archaeological heritage.



MARTA ZERBINI

Architect and Ph.D. in Architecture, specialized in the design, understanding, and preservation of cultural heritage. Engaged in research projects with the University of Florence focused on the study of medieval and late antique architectures and archaeological sites in Italy and abroad. For three years, she was a research fellow at the Department of Architecture in Florence. Currently, she is a post-doctoral researcher at the same university and an intern at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris, working within the World Heritage Centre, Culture sector, in the World Heritage Cities program. 

DANIELE BRESCHI

Architect, graduated in architecture LM-4 at DIDA, University of Florence. Previously awarded a research contract to study the feasibility of a museum in the former Littorio Palace of Camaiore. 

Research fellow at MoM- Museo oltre Museo.

CLAUDIO ROCCA

From 1979 to 1982, he was in Paris, where he studied Cinema at Sorbonne-Nouvelle and worked as a draftsman at various architecture studios. He graduated in Florence from the Faculty of Architecture in 1989 and practiced as an architect, mainly in Tuscany. Between 1986 and 1989, he participated in the restoration of the Brancacci Chapel in Florence (frescoes by Masolino, Masaccio, and Filippino Lippi) as a consultant for Olivetti Spa and subsequently oversaw the architectural restoration project in 1990. He has been a professor since 1991 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Carrara and in 1997 in L'Aquila, where he teaches Modeling (theory and technique of models) and Computer Drawing. In 2000, he took on the role of the Modeling chair at the Academy of Fine Arts in L'Aquila. He coordinated the Specialization Course in Marble Design in Carrara with the University of Florence, Faculty of Architecture (Department of Architecture Technology and Design), and the Municipality of Carrara (managing entity) in 2002. Since 2008, he has been in the role of the Modeling chair at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, where he has also taught courses in Fundamentals of Computer Drawing, Three-Dimensional Digital Modeling, and History of Applied Arts. In 2013, he graduated in Design and Fashion Disciplines. He held the position of Director of the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence for the period 2017-2023.

ALESSANDRO SCILIPOTI

Alessandro Scilipoti is a designer who developed his education at the ISIA in Rome, graduating in 1986 from the four-year course in product design and in 2007 from the second-level course in system design, discussing a thesis on the topic of biodegradable plastics. The educational experience gained at ISIA, along with the knowledge of the specific design culture and methodology, has concurrently expanded through work both in collaboration with professional design studios where he provided assistance in product design and through personal consultancy assignments with manufacturing companies. He has worked as a product designer in the fields of plastics, electronics, lighting, commercial furniture systems, office furniture, paper products, corporate identity, home furnishing objects, and as an interior designer for commercial furniture companies. He has exhibited products at the Milan Furniture Fair with Italclub Design, at the Nuovo bel design exhibition in Milan, at the Biennale of young designers in Saint Etienne, and at the Africa and Design exhibition.He has participated as a designer in the PIM campaign for the cataloging of ethno-anthropological assets in the Aeolian Islands.He currently teaches interior design at the Academy of Fine Arts and coordinates the Artistic School for Business.


GIULIA VACCARI

PhD candidate in Science of Cultural Heritage at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence.

Her research focuses on applying new technologies, such as Virtual and Augmented Reality, to the art world. Her work aims to preserve cultural heritage and enhance its potential by 3D modeling and creating immersive and interactive experiences leveraging emerging technologies.



FEDERICO NICCOLAI

PhD candidate in science of Cultural Heritage at the Academy of Belle Arti di Firenze. His reasearch is focused on 3D visualizzation of natural and artificial enviroment and mounment. He works on the development of virtual and augmented reality applications for the protection and communication of cultural heritahge, both material and immaterial.
