Advisors play a vital role in ensuring students receive meaningful guidance throughout their learning and project journey. They provide support, encouragement, and structured feedback, especially during critical moments like capstone projects.
Capstone Projects are a mandatory component of Dicoding’s intensive learning programs. Students are grouped into interdisciplinary teams to develop a final product or solution, depending on the structure of each program.
We’re looking for professionals who:
Have relevant work experience for expertise that you'll apply
Familiar with real-world product development or industry innovation practices.
Have a strong interest in mentoring and collaborative learning.
Can provide constructive feedback on ideas, progress, and implementation.
Possesses excellent communication skills, especially in guiding interdisciplinary student teams.
As a Capstone Project Advisor, you will play a vital role in shaping the success of student projects. We expect you to:
🎓 Mentoring
Conduct at least one mandatory mentoring session per team (minimum 45 minutes).
Provide expert guidance on technical, business, product, and/or project management aspects based on your area of expertise.
Help students overcome challenges and maintain momentum in their projects.
🤝 Support
Be available to answer questions outside of the scheduled session (strongly encouraged).
Share real-world advice based on your experience.
Offer additional mentoring sessions for your teams (optional, with extra benefit—terms apply).
The expertise needed may vary by program and team requirements. Here are examples of the areas we seek:

Web Development (React, Front-End, Back-End)

Each advisor will:
Be assigned to 1 or more capstone teams depending on availability and alignment.
Conduct a minimum of one 45-minute mentoring session per team (typically two sessions total for two teams).
Be available for asynchronous support (e.g., chat or platform messages).
Optional: conduct extra mentoring sessions with all assigned teams (terms apply).
Mentoring outside of the official additional request will not be included in the incentive calculation. However, advisors are encouraged to go beyond — e.g., support daily stand-ups or ad-hoc check-ins.

Dicoding Mentoring Platform (you’ll need a Dicoding account).
Google Workspaces, such as Google Calendar, Google Meet, Google Sheets, Docs, etc.
Mentoring sessions will be conducted on Google Meet.
