Meet the Crew

Director | Producer

Diana Fraser is a creative director and digital strategist who leads savvy content experiences that yield measurable impact for audiences and stakeholders. At PBS Digital Studios, Diana drives a $5.5M grant portfolio to develop PBS member stations across the country and create 20 original digital series for diverse audiences nationwide. Previously, Diana worked as a Line Producer at Twin Cities PBS and specialized in diverse and intersectional multimedia storytelling where her team created dozens of award-winning documentaries highlighting immigrant, Indigenous, Black, and queer stories. Outside of work, Diana turned a $10,000 MN arts grant into the Emmy-nominated 2019 documentary Patient No More about LGBTQ+ women’s access to healthcare. She holds a B.A. in Cinema & Media Studies from Carleton College and is a 2021 Online News Association Women’s Leadership Accelerator alum.

Diana currently lives in Washington, DC.

Director of Photography

Brennan Vance is a Minneapolis-based filmmaker and 2017 McKnight Media Arts Fellow. He recently served as cinematographer for the feature documentaries Memories of a Penitent Heart [Tribeca ’16, PBS] and Robert Klein Still Can’t Stop His Leg [SXSW 2016, STARZ], and his award-winning feature directorial debut, The Missing Sun. He received a 2017 Jerome fellowship and was selected for the 2016 Filmmaker Narrative Labs. His work as a Director of Photography for Twin Cities PBS has earned him three Emmy Awards.

Online Editor

Valerie Mondor once drove cabs, jumped out of perfectly good planes, worked as both a jazz and a country radio DJ, was married to a man and then to a woman, is passionate about dancing and pickleball, and for the last 40 years has enjoyed working as a video editor for Twin Cities PBS.

Audio & Mixer

Terry Gray is a multi-Emmy-award winning audio operator and mixer for Twin Cities PBS, as well as an independent music producer and songwriter. Terry composes and records in his home studio in Minnesota when not in the field. Over his decades-long career he has worked on 200+ regional and national PBS documentaries and series, as well as ESPN programs. Terry's philosophy of audio is that the sound should always come first, and that songwriting is a craft.

Assistant Editor

Jhernie Evangelista is a freelance video editor based in Hawai'i. As a proud native Hawaiian she believes her cultural background lends her a keen eye for storytelling nuance and integrity. Her work in the arts concentrates on combatting disparities in tech and media, particularly in Virtual Reality. Her portfolio includes work with Stance, the Malala Fund, Ladies Get Paid, and a VR fellowship at the New Rochelle IDEA Lab.

Assistant Camera

Katie Lescarbeau is a freelance cinematographer based in Minneapolis. She has worked as an editor and director of photography for Best Buy Yellow Tag Productions, Aveda, A2F Pictures, and the Starkey Hearing Foundation. Her projects have won several awards at the Twin Cities 48 Hour Film Festival, and premiered in Minneapolis, Cannes, and Austin film festivals. She is currently shooting a documentary about women and sports leadership for Twin Cities PBS.
