COURSE JOURNAL (CJ) To know what is course journal click HERE; Why it reqd?; to see a model of course journal Click HERE. Your CJ is usually a record notebook of 120 pages, your CJ starts with writting/xeroxing /taking printout and pasting in both sides the following (i) Syllabus with list of & reference books & Model Q paper and submit the same in my table by 4.30 pm through representatives on 08-07-2024.
REMEMBER: While submitting the CJ, you can seek one (1) number of permission, for permission click HERE, if it exceeds, penality in internal marks need to be faced.
Complete the course journal for the Unit-1 (Notes and Screencast videos) and submit on 15-07-2024 by 4.30 pm in my table through your representatives.
Complete the course journal for the Unit-2 (Notes and Screencast videos) and submit on 29-07-2024 by 4.30 pm in my table through your representatives.
Continuous internal assessment (CIA) test may need to take on 06-08-2024 Mon II and III h with test portion of Unit -1 and Unit-2; Pattern - 5 Ques x 5 marks = 25 marks; Time - 1 h. To see its model Q paper click HERE
Note: (i) Two or more different Q papers will be used during test (ii) One batch consisting of max.30 students (iii) those who have any personal issues or any other activities due to which you are unable to attend, get prior permission in whatsapp to write re-test.

COMPLETED TASKS

Complete writing the the Expt 2. (Observation of Stomata) and Expt 3 (Studying the different cell organelles of eukaryotes with animation and micrograph) submit your record on 05-01-2024 by 9.30 am through your representatives.
Submit your Cell Biology records with all the four experiments and submit on 06-02-2024 morning before 9.30 am.

This site contains all the essentials of the Basic Zoology course for self learning and blended mode, this course is offered in the first semester of your I year B.Sc. Biotechnology programme, if you feel anything missing or lacking or suggestions to improve this OER page, kindly let me know at vigsaran@gmail.com
For fiist year (2024-25) batch the classes starts from July 2024, classes will be mainly OER based and blended learning, with dedicated support (24 x 7) from the course teacher.

Course Objectives:
Zoology, also known as animal biology, is the scientific study of animals and the animal kingdom. It is a branch of biology that examines all animals, living and extinct, including their anatomy, physiology, embryology, genetics, evolution, classification, habits, behavior, and distribution.
