Summarizing of Findings in the Climate and Disaster Risk Assessment (CDRA) is the process of consolidating and synthesizing key results from the hazard, exposure, vulnerability, and risk analyses into clear and actionable insights. It highlights the most significant climate and disaster risks, identifies highly exposed and vulnerable areas and sectors, and explains the potential impacts on people, infrastructure, livelihoods, and ecosystems.
This step translates technical assessment outputs into concise messages that support informed decision-making, planning, and the formulation of risk reduction, adaptation, and resilience strategies.

CDRA Step 5 Workshop
The Risk Summary and Major Decision Areas (MDA) is a one of the critical steps in the Climate and Disaster Risks Assessment (CDRA) process. This activity brings together the results of the hazard, exposure, vulnerability, and impact analyses and translates them into planning-relevant conclusions.
The objective of this exercise is to clearly identify risk summary and major decision areas and determine where key planning and policy decisions are needed. These decision areas guide local governments, planners, and stakeholders in integrating climate and disaster risk considerations into land use planning, development controls, infrastructure investment, and sectoral programs. This step ensures that CDRA findings directly inform actions, rather than remaining purely technical outputs.
