Sasha's journey at Dunman High has been defined by a quiet but powerful conviction: that knowledge is most meaningful when it is shared. Nowhere is this more evident than in her leadership within the Dunman High International and Strategic Affairs Council (ISAC), where she served as Deputy Secretary-General of Academics — a role she approached with both intellectual seriousness and a genuine commitment to her peers.
As the driving force behind the academic programming of the Dunman High Model ASEAN Plus Summit (DHAP) 2025, Sasha shaped how her schoolmates understood and engaged with some of the region's most pressing geopolitical questions. She designed research guides and presentations that gave students a structured framework for thinking about complex international issues, and led weekly training sessions that challenged participants to move beyond surface-level understanding. For Sasha, preparing others for the summit was never just a logistical task — it was an opportunity to cultivate the kind of critical, globally-aware thinking she believed every student deserved access to.
This belief found its fullest expression in her role as Project Leader of the Model United Nations (MUN) Outreach Programme, where she took deliberate steps to open doors for students from underrepresented schools. Recognising that MUN can be an intimidating space for first-timers, Sasha created beginner-friendly resources and training modules designed to demystify the experience — breaking down speech-making, diplomacy, and parliamentary procedure into skills that any student could build on. Her efforts were rooted in a firm belief in educational equity, and her desire to ensure that a student's background would never be a barrier to participating in meaningful, confidence-building experiences. Her own capabilities as a diplomat were on full display at the Nanshan Model United Nations Conference 2025 in Taipei, where she was awarded Outstanding Delegate for her work on the Rwanda Crisis committee. In a room of international voices navigating one of history's most sensitive conflicts, Sasha distinguished herself through critical thinking, collaborative leadership, and a rare ability to build consensus across deeply differing perspectives — qualities that had been sharpened through years of leading and teaching others.
Sasha leaves Dunman High as someone who has already demonstrated what it means to lead with purpose. Through her tireless work to bring others along with her, she has shown that the most lasting impact a student can have is not measured in accolades alone, but in the confidence and capability she has helped build in those around her.
Jennabel stands out as a humble student leader who serves her community with dedication.
As Vice-President Projects (Senior High) in the Student Council, Jennabel played a key role in organising milestone events for the school in 2025 such as the Senior High Orientation and D’Carnival. Besides demonstrating strong organisational skills, she was also skillful in empowering the student councillors by strengthening their leadership abilities. Jennabel was also a very valuable player in the school’s softball team and helped her team to clinch a Top 4 position in the National Softball Competition in 2024. As an athlete, she remained composed in trying situations and was assuring presence in the team.
Through her involvement in community efforts, Jennabel showed a strong commitment to improve the lives of others. She participated in different projects that bridged the divide between young people and seniors, such as Project SGMahjongTogether. In this student-initiated project, she served as an Executive Committee Member in 2024 and helped to expand the project’s reach. She was resourceful in working with different stakeholders, ultimately benefitting more seniors through the project’s wider reach.
Grounded in strong values, Jennabel is an exemplary student leader who will continue to be an inspiration to those around her. We are proud of her and wish her all the best in her future endeavours!
Dora is a well-rounded student leader who excelled in both academic and co-curricular activities. Her strong ability to manage her time and tasks well enabled her to achieve outstanding results.
As President of the Student Council, Dora led her team of student councillors to organise major school events, including Senior High Orientation and D’Carnival in 2025. She balanced the needs of different stakeholders and contributed to building an inclusive and vibrant school culture. In addition, she was also a member of the International and Strategic Affairs Council and played a key leadership role in its signature event, the Dunman High Model ASEAN Plus Summit, in 2025. In her different capacities, Dora demonstrated strong leadership and facilitation skills.
Dora pursued her interests fervently through her involvement in academic activities and community projects. She showed her strong passion for Geography by taking up H3 Geography and participating in competitions such as the Urban Redevelopment Authority’s Challenge for the Urban and Built Environment, where she and her team clinched the Outstanding Award. She was also deeply committed to serving the community and was involved in various initiatives by Youth Corps Singapore from 2024 to 2025. Besides being part of its Leaders Programme, Dora actively participated in various projects that served the interests of both youth and the elderly, both locally and abroad. One example was the youth expedition Project Hibiscus, where she volunteered in Jakarta, Indonesia. Through this project, she forged meaningful connections with local youth and worked to empower underserved groups in society.
Dora’s resilience and determination in working towards her goals will help her achieve success in her future endeavours. We wish her all the best!
Giselle has consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to community service, anchored by her sustained involvement with the Singapore Red Cross and First Aiders@Punggol since 2024. Over the years, she has dedicated herself to humanitarian work as a personal calling. Through these experiences, Giselle demonstrated empathy, maturity, and a leadership style rooted in service. Her commitment has been unwavering, growing from a passionate volunteer to a Team Leader and, more recently, an official Volunteer Leader. In these roles, she has guided her peers, overseen key initiatives such as the Volunteer Induction Session, and contributed to the Community First-Aider Team, demonstrating empathy, responsibility, and a leadership style rooted in service.
Beyond the humanitarian sphere, at school, Giselle balanced her community involvement with leadership in sports and Student Council. As Captain of the volleyball team, she guided her teammates with resilience, teamwork, and encouragement, while her contributions to the Student Council showed careful planning and dedication to her peers.
Giselle’s journey reflects a student who does not separate excellence from service. Whether on the court, in Student Council, or at the frontline of community care, she has consistently chosen commitment every time. Her sustained dedication to humanitarian work, alongside her leadership in school life, speaks to a young woman shaped by empathy, discipline, and purpose. She leaves school not only with achievements, but with a demonstrated readiness to contribute meaningfully to the communities she will serve in the years ahead.
Collette's story is a reminder that change does not always begin on a grand stage. Sometimes, it starts in a classroom with a student who listens carefully, acts thoughtfully, and believes that even the smallest community deserves intentional care.
As Vice-Chairperson and later Chairperson of her class in 2024 and 2025 respectively, Collette approached what might seem like a modest role with genuine seriousness of purpose. She sought feedback consistently, understanding that good leadership is about being responsive to the people around you. When her classmates expressed a desire for more opportunities to connect, Collette did not wait for someone else to make it happen. She independently reached out to external organisations and planned a Values in Action project at Thye Hua Kwan Hospital — turning a class's wish for closer bonds into a meaningful act of service. In doing so, she showed that a class committee is not just an administrative role, but a platform for real impact, however quietly it unfolds.
This capacity to take initiative and bring people together was equally evident in her leadership as an Executive Committee member of the STEAM Collective (Science Chapter) from 2024 to 2025. Collette helmed key CCA milestones, including the Year Six Handover and Bonding Session, and demonstrated a calm adaptability in modifying plans to meet real-world constraints without compromising the experience for her peers. Her meticulous planning of training sessions which spanned report writing, literature review, and statistical analysis, reflected her understanding that rigorous preparation is itself a form of care for those you lead.
Beyond her school, Collette brought the same quiet dedication to the Pre-University Seminar 2024, where she served as a student facilitator for a prestigious programme co-organised by MOE and Dunman High School. There, she consistently put the needs of participants before her own, guiding discussions with patience.
Collette's journey is one of a student who understood that leadership is not defined by the size of the platform, but by the sincerity of the effort. She leaves Dunman High having shown that when you lead with care — even in the smallest spaces — the ripples reach further than you might expect.
Throughout his journey in the Integrated Programme at Dunman High School, Lim Yen Ray Klemens has distinguished himself as a reflective thinker, principled leader, and committed changemaker — with his growth as a Bicultural Studies Programme (BSP) student standing out as a defining feature of his experience.
As a Higher 2 China Studies in Chinese student, Klemens consistently demonstrated intellectual maturity and depth. His participation in the BSP Overseas Immersion Programme in 2024 sharpened his understanding of the evolving socio-political dynamics between major powers such as China and the United States. Engaging directly with diverse perspectives, he developed a nuanced appreciation of governance, diplomacy, and Singapore’s place within an increasingly complex global order. His role as a Student Facilitator and Core Team member at the Ministry of Education Pre-University Seminar 2024 further reflected his intellectual confidence. Beyond facilitating dialogue among peers, he conducted independent research and engaged with professionals across sectors, deepening his grasp of policy challenges and national strategy. These experiences exemplify the global awareness, cultural sensitivity, and analytical rigour that the BSP seeks to cultivate.
Klemens’ leadership mirrored this bicultural perspective. As Student Council Vice President (Departments), he provided strategic direction while ensuring initiatives strengthened school identity and cohesion. In the International Strategic Affairs Council and as Head Chair of the ASEAN Defence Ministers’ Meeting at the Dunman High ASEAN Plus Summit 2025, he demonstrated diplomatic tact, organisational clarity, and collaborative leadership.
Committed to service, Klemens chaired Project NBA in 2025, expanding outreach efforts to support disadvantaged students, while continuing to mentor juniors in Venture Scouts and Lion Dance.
Throughout his six-year journey in the Integrated Programme at Dunman High School, Brandan Goh Yu Hong has distinguished himself not only through academic excellence, but through intellectual curiosity, courageous leadership, and a deep commitment to service.
A thoughtful and analytical learner, Brandan consistently pursued knowledge beyond the classroom. His passion for linguistics earned him a Silver Award at the 2025 Singapore Linguistic Olympiad, while his curiosity for Physics led him to compete in the Singapore Physics League, where his team attained an Honourable Mention. On the global stage, he represented Uganda at the Nanshan High School Model United Nations’ Historical United Nations Security Council, clinching the Outstanding Delegate award for his eloquence, strategic thinking, and ability to build consensus.
Brandan’s impact is equally evident in his leadership. As Head of Training for the Dunman High ASEAN Plus Conference 2025, he mentored and nurtured his team with patience and purpose, developing frameworks and conducting regular consultations to help others grow in confidence and competence. As a Student Councillor and Citizenship Education Ambassador, he shaped school culture through thoughtful programming, creative storytelling, and meaningful discussions on national and global issues.
Deeply committed to community service, Brandan was instrumental in organising Bridges of Gaiety for the elderly under Youths for Causes, earning a Merit Award. He also co-initiated D’Jam, combining his love for singing with fundraising efforts to support children with special needs.
Elliot is a student whose leadership is defined by humility and heart. While he approached his academic work with discipline and curiosity, it was through music and service that his character was most clearly expressed. For Elliot, music has never been about personal recognition; it has always been about contributing meaningfully to something larger than himself.
As President and Student Conductor of the Dunman High School Chinese Orchestra, Elliot led with conviction and care. He nurtured a culture of commitment and mutual respect within the ensemble, guiding the team toward both musical excellence and collective confidence. In the lead-up to the Singapore Youth Festival Arts Presentation, he upheld high standards while remaining attentive to team morale. Under his leadership, the Orchestra achieved a Distinction, a reflection of disciplined preparation and shared belief. He also spearheaded the Orchestra’s annual concert, demonstrating composure and resolve despite demanding timelines. Beyond performances, he hopes that his team’s work has ignited a passion for Chinese music amongst his peers and juniors, and that traditional Chinese music culture in DHS will continue to inspire the wider community.
Elliot’s dedication to music extended beyond school. Through his involvement with the City Chinese Orchestra, he contributed to the wider arts community and supported efforts to promote traditional Chinese music. His service to elderly residents, through sustained community engagement and outreach performances, reflected genuine empathy and a willingness to give his time generously. He served not for recognition, but because he believed that presence and consistency matter.
Elliot leaves school as a musician who leads with integrity and quiet strength. His steady commitment to music and service has left a meaningful mark on those around him, and it is this spirit of contribution that makes his journey one worth celebrating.
Isabelle Cheah began swimming at the age of three and started competing when she was seven. Throughout her schooling years, her teachers consistently supported her pursuit of the sport as an external CCA. Backed by strong family support, Isabelle undertook an intensive training schedule as a committed student-athlete. Her love for the sport drives her to focus on enjoying the process rather than pressuring herself to chase specific results. This balanced mindset allowed her passion for swimming to become a lasting source of strength.
December 2022 marked a major milestone, when she delivered her best performances and represented Singapore. Her perseverance culminated in her 5th placing in the 200m Breaststroke at the 13th ASEAN Schools Games in 2024. She further distinguished herself at the National School Games ‘A’ Division Swimming Championships in 2024 and 2025, securing Gold medals in the 50m and 100m Breaststroke. Notably, she broke the record for the 50m Breaststroke in the 17-and-over category.
The years following her early breakthroughs tested her resilience in new ways. Progress was not always linear, and she encountered frustration, mental barriers, and physical changes. These experiences deepened her understanding of the importance of mental strength alongside physical endurance. At the same time, academic pressure intensified as she approached the A Levels. She recalibrated her priorities and expectations with maturity and self-awareness. Isabelle also drew strength from her leadership experiences, having served as class chairperson in three of her six years in school. This role nurtured her empathy and ability to support others in challenging circumstances.
Looking back, Isabelle recognises that her time at Dunman High School shaped not only her academic foundation but also her character. Swimming taught her endurance, school nurtured her thinking, and balancing both enabled her to pursue her passion with resilience and purpose.
Anjaneya Sharma demonstrates a genuine passion for learning. As a H2 Computing student, his curiosity extended well beyond the syllabus, where he pursued extensive self-directed learning. Motivated by a desire to deepen his technical competencies, Anjaneya independently completed various guided projects in JavaScript, earning a certificate for over 300 hours of coursework from FreeCodeCamp. He further pursued C++ through Coursera in preparation for the National Olympiad in Informatics. In addition, he completed IBM’s “Python for Data Science, AI & Development” course. His dedication to independent learning was evident in his consistent experimentation with code, development of mini-projects, and ability to troubleshoot problems independently.
Beyond his personal pursuits, Anjaneya demonstrated strong initiative and leadership within the learning community. Recognising that some of his peers shared an interest in computing despite having limited prior experience, he proactively formed a support group to facilitate peer learning and mutual encouragement. He created a shared online drive to consolidate and distribute his notes, and encouraged open discussion where classmates could seek clarification, share concerns, and collaboratively work through challenging concepts. Through this platform, he fostered a supportive learning environment that provided both academic and affective support, empowering his peers to grow in confidence and competence.
Last year, Anjaneya’s resilience was tested by significant personal challenges. In August, he suffered an accident that resulted in a fractured collarbone and required surgery. Around the same period, he experienced the sudden loss of his grandfather, to whom he was deeply attached. These events understandably made it challenging for him to focus on his academic preparation. Nevertheless, he demonstrated remarkable perseverance and emotional maturity, drawing strength from his grandfather’s values and remaining committed to his studies.
Anjaneya’s ability to remain focused, adapt to adversity, and sustain his commitment to learning underscores his inner strength and sense of purpose.
