Welcome to Aro Supplement Tracker! Aro is designed to help you easily and privately track supplement intake for yourself or for others under your care. This guide will walk you through its features.
Upon launching Aro for the first time, you can immediately start adding profiles and tracking supplements. All data is stored locally on your device for privacy and security.
Aro is designed for personalized tracking. The first step is to add a user profile. This could be for yourself, a family member, or any individual whose supplements you want to track.
1. You will be prompted to add your first profile.
2. Enter the profile name (e.g., the person's name).
3. Tap "Save" or "Add User".
This profile will become the currently active profile for whom supplements will be tracked. You will be sent to the Home Screen next.
The Home Screen is your main dashboard for daily supplement tracking.
* Switch Profile: You can tap the "Switch Profile" button (often near the profile's name) to select a different profile if you have multiple profiles set up.
* Today's Dose Reminders: This section lists all scheduled supplement doses for the current day for the active profile.
* Each item shows the supplement name, scheduled time, and its status (e.g., Upcoming, Due Soon, Overdue, Completed).
*. You can tap "Mark as Taken" (or a checkmark icon) directly from this list to record a dose.
* Quick Actions: Buttons for common tasks:
* Add Supplement: Takes you to the screen to add a new supplement for the active profile.

4. Frequency: Select how often the supplement is taken (e.g., "Daily", "Twice a day").
5. Timing (Optional Customization):
* By default, doses are scheduled at standard times based on the frequency (e.g., 9:00 AM for "Daily").
* To set specific times, toggle "Use Custom Time".
* Enter the hour, minute, and select AM/PM for dose time.
6. Notes (Optional): Add any relevant notes about the supplement.
7. Tap "Save".
Aro can scan supplement labels using your device's camera to help pre-fill supplement details.
1. From the Add Supplement screen, look for a "Scan Label" button or section.
2. Tap "Scan Label". This will open the camera view.
3. Position the supplement label within the frame shown on the screen.
4. The app will attempt to recognize text.
* Instruction Text: Follow any on-screen instructions for best results.
5. Once the image is captured/processed:
* You'll see a preview of the captured image and the recognized text/parsed data (supplement name, ingredients, dosage).
* Review the detected information.
6. Tap "Use Results" (or similar button) to populate the Add Supplement form with the scanned data.
7. Verify and adjust any details on the Add Supplement form as needed (name, dosage, frequency, custom times, notes).
8. Tap "Save".

As mentioned, the Home Screen shows doses for the current day for the active profile:
* Status Indicators: Icons and text clearly indicate if a dose is upcoming, due soon (e.g., within the next hour), overdue, or completed.
* Taking a Dose: Tap the "Mark as Taken" button or checkmark for a dose. Its status will update to "Completed".
To see a broader view of a specific supplement's schedule or history:
1. On the Home Screen, in the "Today's Dose Reminders" list, tap on the name of a supplement.
2. This will navigate you to the Calendar Screen, focused on that supplement.
The Calendar Screen provides a monthly view of a selected supplement's schedule and history.
1. Selecting a Supplement: If not navigated directly from a dose item, you might first need to select which supplement's calendar to view (this is usually handled by the navigation from the Home Screen or Supplements list).
2. Calendar View: The top part shows a monthly calendar. Days with scheduled or taken doses may be marked.
3. Selecting a Day: Tap on any day in the calendar to view the dose schedule for that specific supplement on that day.
4. Dose List for Selected Day: Below the calendar, a list of doses for the selected day appears.
* It shows the scheduled time(s) and status (Pending, Completed).
* You can tap a pending dose to mark it as taken for that day.
* If a dose is marked as taken, you may be able to add notes specific to that dose instance.
If you are tracking supplements for multiple individuals.
1. Accessing Manage Profiles: From the Home Screen, tap the "Manage Profiles" (or "Users") quick action button, or sometimes via a profile switcher in the header.
2. Adding Additional Profiles: Look for an "Add Profile" or "+" button. Enter the new profile's name and save.
3. Switching Active Profile: On the Home Screen, usually near the displayed profile's name, there will be a "Switch Profile" button. Tapping this will often show a list of your added profiles. Select one to make them the active profile, and the Home Screen and supplement lists will update accordingly.
4. Editing Profile Details: In the Manage Profiles list, tapping on a profile might allow you to edit their name.
5. Deleting Profiles: Typically, in the profile list or edit screen for a profile, there will be a delete option. Confirming deletion will remove the profile and all their associated supplement and dosage data. This action is usually permanent.
The Analytics Screen provides insights into supplement intake patterns for the active profile.
* Select Supplement (if applicable): You may need to select a specific supplement to view detailed analytics for it.
* Adherence: Often shows adherence rates (e.g., percentage of doses taken vs. scheduled) over various periods (e.g., last 7 days, last 30 days).
* Doses Per Day: Average number of doses taken per day.
* Time of Day Analysis: May show patterns of when doses are typically taken or missed.
* Notes Analysis: If you add notes to doses (e.g., effects, mood), this section might summarize keywords or trends from your notes.
* Nutrient Intake (If Applicable): If ingredients are parsed via OCR and have quantity/unit, this section might estimate daily intake of certain nutrients (this is a more advanced feature and may not be fully implemented).
The specific charts and data points can vary.
