About me

As a ceramicist, social practice artist and art educator, I believe in using art as a tool to cultivate culture in our community, to educate, and facilitate discussion and interpersonal relationships. Much of my work, as an artist and educator, requires people to engage, or use created objects as part of social exchange. This aspect of my practice overlaps with explorations in community projects that have participatory elements, storytelling components, and even fundraising goals supporting social change and strengthening our communities. It is my hope that by sharing these moments, we can expand and evolve our identities, broaden our personal relations, and build up our communities through simple exchange and understanding.
