Hello, my name is Mrs. Wallace. I love Highland and teaching Kindergarten! I graduated from the University of Illinois and then received my masters through National Louis University. I have been teaching for 27 years with my last 18 years at Highland. I love my students . It is fun to watch them grow and develop. In our classroom we are a family that grows and learns together. I love teachable moments. My favorite part of my day is when we have SEL time . This is when our class can discuss feelings, thoughts, moments and memories. We are building our classroom community daily! Additionally, I also love that I am a Downers Grove resident and see my students and families around town. When I am not in my classroom, I enjoy spending time with my husband, two daughters and our dog. As a family, we love reading, bike riding and taking walks together. I look forward to getting to know you and your family too!
