Hi, I'm Meghan Beard, and I will be your child's 3rd Grade teacher this year. Woot! Woot! I am SO excited to have each of them as a part of our classroom family and community this year! The 2026 - 2027 school year marks my 22nd year here at Lester, all of which have been spent teaching 3rd Grade. It's crazy how fast time flies when you're having fun doing something you love! Believe it or not, I attended Lester School, as did my four younger sisters. I guess you could say I've come full circle! Once a Lester Leopard, always a Lester Leopard!

I am a super family-oriented person, and I believe that family should come first, always! With that being said, please do what's best for your children and your families each night. If you need a night off from HW, no problem. I know we're all busy, myself and my boys included, and sometimes things just come up. If there's ever anything I can do to help out, or that I should ever be aware of, please let me know. I am here to help make it a successful year for everyone!

1) My Family: I have 2 sons, Nathan & Ryan (both in HS now); Husband: Rob - who is also a DG alum (South Side), and whose brother (used to be his dad) owns Beard Auto Repair - guess that's my "claim to fame!"

5) Interesting Facts: I enjoy doing laundry! The air fryer is my favorite appliance! Many years ago, I ran the Chicago Marathon - one and done for me, though!
