Welcome Parents/Students!

Dear Parents and Families,

I want to extend to you and your child my warmest welcome into Herrick Middle School. My name is Kit Fager and I will be your child’s 7th/8th grade PE or Science teacher this year. I graduated from Illinois State University with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with endorsements in science, social studies, and physical education. I recently received my Masters in Exercise Science as well and am extremely passionate about physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

My philosophy for learning is that each child is unique, and each child learns in a different way. One of my jobs as a teacher is to help your child discover his or her individuality and work alongside with them to maximize it! I believe in hands-on experiences, exploring creativity, and learning kinesthetically. I am really looking forward to a fun–filled and educational year!
