My name is Beth Piekarz (pronounced "pea-car-z"), and I am beyond excited to be your students' math teacher this year! I look forward to welcoming you into middle school, and I am thrilled to start another amazing school year at O'Neill! 

MY EDUCATIONAL JOURNEY

This school year marks my sixth year of teaching at O'Neill. I graduated in May 2020 from Illinois State University with a degree in Middle Level Education with endorsements in both mathematics and science. Additionally, I hold a graduate degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Western Governors University. I have a tremendous passion for teaching middle school and assisting middle school students as they grow through this "in-between" time of adolescence.

FUN FACTS ABOUT MISS PIEKARZ

My favorite color is blue (and thank goodness, since math is blue!). I am obsessed with ice cream, and I love iced coffee. In my free time, I spend time with my friends, family, and my two dogs, Scout (a lab mix) and Ruby (an Irish Setter). I also enjoy spending time outside in the sun -- especially at my family lake house, relaxing in my hammock, and taking my dogs on long walks!
