5th Grade Social Studies is the study of U.S. History. Our history goes way back and is much more interesting than you probably think. The curriculum is quite hands-on with a great focus on small group work, various types of note taking, and the opportunity to have concepts and ideas reinforced with consistent text interaction. It is a good idea to review social studies notes daily as well as reread the chapter before a test. Tests include multiple choice questions, short answers, essays, and multiple intelligence questions. Many resources and references can be found in Google Classroom. If your child seems to be confused about social studies or their notes are in disarray, please encourage them to talk with their teacher.
