Watch this video and do the following activity:
Reflect on this video a bit and then find a day or several days that you will go outside and take a series of 3 photographs (pictures with phone) of the same specific site on different days. The subject matter here should be completely in nature and these photos should document change in weather, growth, color, lighting, atmosphere, shifts of any kind. (Think how light shifts!)
Use a pencil and “SKETCH” an image of one of the photographs.
In classroom, upload your ALL your PHOTO IMAGES as well as your SKETCH

Find 3 different natural objects and make a MINI SCULPTURE. Think about Elements of line, shape, texture, form, and value. Decide which you will concentrate on when choosing the objects.
SKETCH then DRAW your MINI SCULPTURE first in pencil. Refine the drawing. Make sure you take your time. Show use of VALUE in your drawing.
Watch the below video over time, make a slide presentation that includes images and writing that pertain to each stage of his life. ONLY USE THIS SOURCE at the moment for information.

ART ASSIGNMENT:
Take a SELFIE, print it out and trace with a pencil it OR trace it with a pencil right off your computer screen. If you trace it off the screen. (see presentation on how to do this)
Once you have it traced, use color into it. You can draw with crayon, colored pencil, watercolor and collage (cutting color from magazines and newspaper and gluing onto the image). You can even collage or cut and paste part of the original image (printed selfie) to add to this.
NOTE: the color that you use relates to your EMOTION at the time.Color has meaning. (See related videos on the Classroom)
Once you have worked color into the tracing, REDRAW with EMPHASIS lines some of the original tracing in your choice of colored ink, colored pencil, regular pen ink or pencil. This could be black, white or any color you choose.
Submit your ORIGINAL SELFIE and YOUR ARTWORK SELFIE for a grade.
