EMBASSY WELCOMES FIRST WELFARE OFFICER IN VIENNA

22 JULY 2025, VIENNA, AUSTRIA - Ambassador Evangelina A. Bernas and Consul General Zoilo Velasco welcomed Ms. Christelyn R. Caceres, the first Welfare Officer deployed under the Migrant Workers Office (MWO) at the Philippine Embassy in Vienna.
Ms. Caceres brings with her 17 years of dedicated service and experience with the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA). She previously served at the Philippine Overseas and Labor Office in Tokyo, Japan in 2019. Prior to her deployment in Vienna, she was Officer-in-Charge of OWWA Regional Office XII in Koronadal, South Cotabato.
Her assignment to Vienna marks a significant milestone in the Embassy’s efforts to strengthen the delivery of welfare services to Filipino workers based in Austria, Croatia, Slovenia, and the Slovak Republic.
