Pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 469 declaring the month of April of every year as Filipino Food Month (FFM) or Buwan ng Kalutong Pilipino, the National Commission for Culture and the Arts together with the Department of Agriculture, Department of Tourism and Philippine Culinary Heritage Movement, is spearheading the month-long celebration for 2024 with the theme, “Kalutong Filipino, Lakas ng Kabataang Makabago.”
The FFM 2024 celebration aims to empower the youth as leaders for promoting Philippine culinary heritage and gastronomy. This year’s activities also strive to highlight the value of educating people about the history and culinary heritage of the region and support the various industries such as fisherfolks, farmers and agriculture communities.
