"The work is inspired by Avicenna's concept of the "Floating Man". It plays around with the idea of being here but not completely. To drown at the present but to keep afloat for what's to come. "... the soul is an independent entity to the human body and this he demonstrated through, allowing the man to float through air. He falls freely through the air but he does not know that he does" (Ouma, Larry 2016)"
