27 MAY 2025, VIENNA - Philippine Embassy officials visited the Premstätten, Styria headquarters of ams-OSRAM, an Austrian semiconductor company with a significant presence in the Philippines.

Ambassador Evangelina A. Bernas reiterated the government’s efforts under President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. in providing a favorable environment for foreign investments, and expressed the Embassy’s commitment to support the company’s investment in the Philippines.

The company’s subsidiary in the Philippines was established in 2005 in Calamba, Laguna as AMS Asia, Inc. The Calamba site serves as a testing facility for packaged Integrated Circuits (IC) as well as for finishing, taping, final inspection, and shipping. END
