PH EMBASSY PROMOTES INTEGRATION OF NEWLY-ARRIVED OVERSEAS WORKERS, BRINGS CONSULAR SERVICES TO FILIPINOS IN INNSBRUCK
Innsbruck Vice Mayor Georg Willi highlights the integration programs of the City of Innsbruck during the Post Arrival Orientation Seminar (PAOS) for newly-arrived Filipinos on 26 April 2025.
26 APRIL 2025 - More than thirty participants from Tyrol, Vorarlberg, Vienna, and Upper Austria attended the Post-Arrival Orientation Seminar (PAOS) for newly-arrived Filipinos in Austria in Innsbruck. The participants learned about integration services available, including free German language courses, from the Austrian Integration Fund (ÖIF), Austrian Business Agency (ABA), and the City Government of Innsbruck.
Innsbruck Vice Mayor Georg Willi welcomed the participants and highlighted the city’s promotion of multiculturalism and diversity through various integration programs. The Philippine Embassy in Vienna, together with the Migrant Workers Office (MWO) Vienna, conducted the PAOS via hybrid format.
Services available from the Philippine Embassy, MWO-Vienna, Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), Social Security System (SSS), and Pag-IBIG were also presented during the seminar.
The Embassy provided consular services, assisted overseas voting, and assistance-to-nationals (ATN) consultations to the Filipino community in Innsbruck and nearby towns to complement the PAOS. Members of the Filipino community in Tyrol were very happy with the Embassy’s initiative to bring consular services closer to them.
The PAOS is one of the Embassy’s programs to ensure that newly-arrived Filipinos are equipped with the necessary information which will enable them to integrate smoothly into their new host country. END.
