According to CESMAD Slovakia, the Slovak Republic needs approximately 16,000 drivers for its transport sector. Filipino drivers are highly sought after for their skills, work ethic, and command of the English language.

The presentation highlighted the strengths of Filipino workers in the transport and logistics sector and provided guidance to Slovak partners on ethical recruitment practices in line with Philippine laws and regulations.
Labor Attaché Delmer Cruz, Consul Dan Bagaporo, and MWO Vienna staffer Everos B. Evangelista represented the Philippines. The Embassy’s participation highlights the country’s proactive engagement in advocating for the welfare and protection of Filipino migrant workers in new labor markets in Central and Eastern Europe.
