18 SEPTEMBER 2025, ZAGREB – Deputy Head of Mission and Consul General Zoilo Velasco delivered a lecture titled Rules Based International Order: The Role of International Law in South China Sea at the Society of University Teachers, Scholars and Other Scientists in Zagreb, under the auspices of the University of Zagreb in Croatia. 

The lecture, which was attended by academics and member of the diplomatic corps, discussed the 2016 South China Sea Arbitration Award and its contribution to a rules-based international order in the South China Sea.  It is part of the Philippine Embassy’s celebration of the Maritime Nation Month (#MANAMo) this September.
