15 DECEMBER 2025, VIENNA. Filipino dishes such as adobo, kaldereta, laing, Pinoy barbecue, siomai, siopao, and ginataang bilo-bilo sold out quickly at the UN Women’s Guild (UNWG) Charity Bazaar on 29 November 2025 at the Austria Center Vienna, while Philippine freshwater pearls, dried mangoes, tropical drinks, and San Miguel Beer were the most in-demand items from the Philippine Mission booth.
The Philippine national goods booth featured handcrafted bags made from Philippine materials such as coconut fiber, rattan, raffia, and abaca. Dry goods, including a variety of Philippine snacks, were also sold during the bazaar. Embassies and international missions to the United Nations collaborated with UNWG members and volunteers to raise funds for the Guild’s initiatives through food and national goods booths, cultural performances, tombola draws, etc. Restaurant stalls treated visitors to traditional and authentic delicacies from around the world, while national goods stalls sold an extensive selection of handcrafted products and unique specialties representing the cultures and traditions of participating countries.
This year, 46 countries participated in the UNWG International Charity Bazaar. The UNWG was able to distribute EUR 82,409.60 to children’s charities in ten countries in 2025 using the funds raised during the 2024 Bazaar and other UNWG activities. END.
