Bernas said that the concert was organized to showcase the best of Filipino musicality and to thank around 600 guests for their continued support for the endeavors of the Philippine Embassy and Permanent Mission to the United Nations in Vienna. She also highlighted the event as an opportunity to personally connect outside of work, especially for the diplomatic corps who work with each other in intensive negotiations at the United Nations and other international organizations in Vienna. “Thank you to my distinguished colleagues and Excellencies who are here. I hope that the experts from different Embassies and Permanent Missions set aside their negotiations and enjoy the night. For the Filipino Community, this is our gift to you. One night to be proud of another one of our very, very best that we offer to the world,” she said.
