BINGO CDR

Critical Design Review and Meeting

July 08 - 11

BINGO (BAO from Integrated Neutral Gas Observations) is a novel telescope designed to make the first detection of Baryon Acoustic Oscilllations (BAO) at radio frequencies by measuring the distribution of neutral gas at cosmological distances. Along with the cosmic microwave background, the scale of BAO is one of the most powerful probes of cosmological parameters, including Dark Energy. BINGO is a multinational collaboration including partners from Brazil, UK, China, Switzerland, France and South Africa and will build a cross-dragonian radiotelescope with two 40m dishes and 50 horns, being suitable for cosmological and astrophysical observations, including BAO and FRBs.

The purpose of the meeting is to construct the critical design review of the project and strenghten the scientific links among the several partners.
