I am an 8th grade enrichment teacher at Mill Creek and was the water polo coach for the high school men's and women's teams at different times from 2004-2020. I was a state level swimmer for four seasons in high school and played collegiate club water polo while attending Indiana University. I started my middle school swim coaching experience in 2007 as an assistant, and then I served as the head coach for a couple of seasons. I also served as a swim coach at Travis Pointe Country Club from 2008-2010. Having my own children led to a hiatus from coaching swim. I returned to coach middle school swimming several years ago, and truly enjoy the different experience that it gives your kids.
I am a 7th and 8th-grade humanities teacher at Ann Arbor Open and have over 20 years of experience coaching swimming at the high school (Chelsea, Tecumseh, and Jackson), middle school, club, and summer age group levels. I am a proud alumnus of Dexter, where I swam throughout high school and during the summers at Ann Arbor Country Club. During college, I played water polo at Eastern Michigan University. This is my third year coaching with Mill Creek Middle School swimming. In the summers, I have coached extensively in the WISC league, including serving as Head Coach at Georgetown Country Club (2008, 2016–2023). I have also been an assistant coach at Ann Arbor Country Club (2012–2015) and most recently at Travis Pointe Country Club (2024). I’m excited to join Brian and Tierney as an assistant coach for your kids and to cheer on my son Curt in his 8th-grade season.
