Recruiting trip to Six Flags, October 12, 2024
Dexter FBLA members, Cy Scott, Luke Gentry, Henley Barrett and adviser, Sharon Guy attended the National Leadership Conference the summer of 2024.
The Missouri State Leadership Conference was held in Springfield, April 13-15, 2025. Our chapter was awarded "Silver" status, and was recognized for some other achievements.
Congratulations to the following FBLA members for placing at the District Leadership Conference. Katelynn Chappell placed 1st in both Intro to Business Presentation and Sports and Entertainment Management. Faith Midkiff placed 1st in Digital Video Productions. Henley Barrett placed 2nd in Computer Application, as did Dylan Harris in Financial Math. Third place was awarded to Skyler Baird in Computer Applications, Henley Barrett in Organizational Leadership and Faith Midkiff in Broadcast Journalism. Henley Barrett placed 4th in Networking Infrastructures. Nicole Johnson placed 4th in Human Resource Management and 5th in Introduction to FBLA. Isabella Pittman placed 5th in Personal Finance. Isabella Pittman and Marlie Hatton, District 16 officers had speaking parts in the program. Henley Barrett was elected President of District 16 and installed at the event on Thursday, January 30 at SEMO.

Henley talked to middle school students in Mrs. Templemire's class about the importance of "servant leadership" and FBLA on November 13th.
We welcomed Brian Roberts from Regions Bank as our guest speaker on Nov 14th. He gave important information about financial fraud targeting students.

Elizabeth and Rebecca tied for 1st place, Sam was 3rd, and Callista won the "wildcard" drawing of those who sold 10 or more Krispy Kreme dozens. We sold 448 dozen this year. Our profits go toward club expenses, travel and helping reduce costs of events.

Potential members enjoyed learning about the club, eating a sandwich or cookie & participating in some mixer games.
Joseph, Austin and Eli loaded 36 bags of shoes to donate to Funds2Org on October 4, 2024. This was a community service/fundraising project to collect new and gently used shoes.
