Have you been wondering if you should join the Chrysanthemum Society of Victoria, or when to join?
As a new member you will recieve some plants in October to start you off. You will also have the opportunity to buy more at the October meeting. We also have available cutting material in August/September from which you can try out growing your own plants.
We hold meetings in most months on the second Saturday of the month at 2:30pm at Burwood Heights Uniting Church Hall. Our first meeting for the growing year is on the 13th July (after our May Show).
At these meetings you will taken step by step through the process of propagating and growing your plants, either to show standard or just for the garden and cut flowers. We will teach you the tricks of keeping pests and diseases at bay and how to get the best blooms, whether for show or cut flowers. You will get an opportunity to get the answers to problems you are facing and the meeting is followed by afternoon tea and a chance to socialise with fellow growers of all standards, from beginners to those who have been growing for several years. (I deliberately avoid using the word "expert").
We also provide you with a comprehensive Grower's Manual and a monthly newsletter reminding you of the tasks for each month.
The membership form will show you what it costs and how to join. We have a considerable number of members from country Victoria and interstate, to whom we mail out plants, newsletters and the Grower's Guide.
We hold our Annual Show in early May so come along and see some good blooms and join up then.
Please find the membership form below. Select the button in the top left corner to open in a new tab and download.
