Active English
Welcome to Active English in 2021
Active English is our English training course for busy people, and so we hold it during the day, and at night! It is designed to build your practical English skills so that you are comfortable and confident using English in everyday conversations. The program consists of the following three levels of English.
Active English 1 - Elementary to Pre-intermediate
Active English 2 - Pre-intermediate to intermediate
Active English 3 - Intermediate to upper intermediate
These classes focus on the 4 skills (reading, writing, listening, and speaking), and your teachers will help you to apply these skills to everyday English language.
You don't need to come to all of the terms. You can complete any of the terms you want, when you want to. Join in term 2 or 3, the choice is yours.
We use original international textbooks and highly experienced local and international teachers. Our classes are very active and you will get lots of practice during classroom activities. You also get free access to our WiFi internet. If you have your own computer, tablet, or smartphone, bring it with you!
Course Times
Days : Monday to Friday
Time : 9:00 am-11:00 am, and 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm.
Term 1 : From 11th, January 2021 to 19th, March 2021.
Term 2 : From 19th, April 2021 to 25th, June 2021.
Term 3 : From 19th, July 2021 to 24th, September 2021.
Term 4 : From 11th, October 2021 to 17th, December 2021.
Course Fees
The course fee for Active English is 120,000 Kyats per term.
If you don't already have one, you will need to buy a textbook from us. Textbooks cost 25,000 Kyats each. You will only need to buy one textbook per year. All other course materials are provided by DevelopEd. Our textbooks are original, modern, professional textbooks that are used all around the world.
Payment
There are two stages for payment for Active English classes. Deposit and final payment
Deposit
As soon as you receive a call from DevelopEd confirming that you have been accepted to study Active English, you need to pay a deposit of 90,000 kyats. This deposit secures your place in class. Your place is not secure until you pay the deposit. This deposit is non-refundable.
Final Payment
You need to pay the remaining part of the course fee before the first day of term.
If you do not pay your payment on time, your place in class may be given to another student and you will not receive a refund.

Accommodation
Accommodation at DevelopEd is not available for this course. You will need to find your own accommodation in Lashio.

Remember. Places in Active English classes are very competitive. If you don't get accepted this term, try again next term.
