Dear De Vargas Community,
Results are in and we raised a grand profit of $20,282.08!!!
We blew past all our goals and expectations with an impressive amount of participation!
We are INCREDIBLY PROUD of all our students for working hard to earn pledges for this event and thankful to all our friends and family for supporting our school.
These funds will go towards our school costs for the Community School of Music & Art program next school year which provides high quality weekly classes for our students.

Step 1) T-shirt is FREE with no obligation
Step 2) Wear your FREE Spirit-wear Lion T-shirt that will be delivered to your classroom prior to the event.
*Pick up time for DL students :
The Week starting May 17 Monday, Tuesday lunch time from 12-1pm @ De Vargas parking lot
(Please note* we only have youth sizes XS 4/5, SM 6/8, M 8/10 left available. All other sizes have already been collected by our students. At this point, t-shirts are first come first serve)
Step 3) Run, Walk and Shout 'GO LIONS!' if you see other friends wearing the same T-shirt, show them your support and cheer them on!
Step 4) Collect your sponsorship pledges and be prepared to bring them to school in a sealed envelope.
Step 5) Pick up your Goody Bags at our Drive-thru event Finish line on Friday 5/28(4-6pm) .

-Finisher Goody Bags ( your child must collect at least $35 in pledges or make a $35 flat donation if you choose not to run/participate )
-A fun and healthy way to get outside, get some fresh air and exercise for a good cause.

Hope this message finds you well as we are still living in these COVID-struck times. We know that many of our DV families have been struggling to keep their daily lives afloat, but despite the challenges our DV students have shown much resilience and grit throughout the full calendar year of distance learning.
Let's acknowledge and lift up our DV children of their great accomplishments via the upcoming De Vargas FUN RUN fundraising event.

Coming together under one purpose and sharing the spirit with the DV community will give a much needed sense of belonging to our children, not to mention the sheer joy of running outside with friends! The Spirit-wear (T-shirt) will be provided for every currently enrolled student at DV. The donation gathered will be used for the art, music, library and many other enrichment programs at De Vargas.
Also please note that this event is being hosted 100% by DV parent volunteers and no service fee will be paid to an outside third-party company.
Let's shout "GO LIONS!" when we run by friends wearing the Lion T-shirt, and know that we are in it together, we move forward together!
