Pertsonalde is an NGO from Getxo that reacts to injustice and works with people in vulnerable situations in our immediate environment and also in Peru, the Philippines and Africa.
We promote and cooperate in development and solidarity projects, especially in initiatives aimed at protecting children and promoting education.
We dedicate a large part of our time to favouring the coexistence and integration of those people who, in search of decent living conditions and even fleeing situations of serious danger for themselves and their families, are forced to migrate.
We share values, a critical eye and a desire to work for others, each one of us, to the extent of our possibilities, sometimes promoting projects and other times incorporating in our day to day actions that make life easier for those who need it most.
People are our driving force, we accompany them, we welcome them and at the same time they transform us, they make us feel good and they are the reason for this association.
What are we going to do?
Volunteering focuses on accompanying people in the migration process, mainly young people between 18 and 35 years of age from North Africa. This project aims to promote social and cultural integration through two lines of action: Topagune, a space for meeting and dialogue to share experiences, and cultural and leisure activities that help to break down barriers and generate meaningful connections.
The tasks will be carried out in the mornings, while some afternoons will be dedicated to training and awareness-raising sessions. These trainings will allow you to reflect on the reality of migration, develop empathy and broaden your understanding of the challenges faced by migrants. It is a transformative experience that not only has an impact on those who receive the accompaniment, but also on those who carry it out.
Activity hours
Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.: activities on the premises and accompaniment on outings.
The work will be with a group of people in the migration process, mainly North Africans between 18 and 35 years old.
