3-21 February
To register, a form must be filled out and a letter of motivation must be attached (a model will be provided), as well as a CV with a photo.
February 28th
All those registered will be summoned on Saturday, February 28th at IQS, where the interviews and activities that allow us to carry out the selection will take place.
March the 10th
Meeting of the heads of the universities participating in the program for the assignment of places and projects to the students selected by each university.
10 March
All applicants will be informed whether or not they have been selected, as well as the project. Those selected must confirm their place within 24 hours.
March 7th
This training day will be held on March 7th , for selected students from the Institut Químic Sarrià.
March 25th to April 3rd
This week we will try to plan, as far as possible, the connections with those responsible for the projects. Students and accompanying persons will be informed of the dates in advance.
April 4th to April 6th
This weekend (from Friday afternoon to Sunday before lunch) the training will take place in El Escorial (Madrid) for those selected from all the universities that call the program.
October 3-5
All volunteers will be offered to participate in an inter-university evaluation and celebration weekend in October. In the event that this is not possible, each university will try to plan its own meeting. Advance notice of changes will be given.
All the SELECTED STUDENTS for the VUELA program will receive common training for participation in the volunteer projects. This training is ON SITE AND COMPULSORY. The program begins with training.
OBJECTIVE: to promote intensive volunteering (national and international) from a perspective of education for development and global citizenship in which reflective and transformative learning is encouraged, open to diversity and committed to an international vision of justice and solidarity.
CONTENTS:
Context training: human rights, development and poverty, social justice and equity, globalization and global citizenship.
Training on volunteering: responsibilities, attitudes, skills and competencies of volunteering.
Specific training on specific projects: working in teams and with organizations.
Please read carefully the conditions of support and financial support for participation in the program.
1. TRAINING: IQS is responsible for the costs of transportation, maintenance and accommodation derived from the week-long training in El Escorial.
2. TRAVEL TO THE PROJECT: The cost of transportation to and from the project site will be paid by the student. The purchase will be made as a team, once the definitive dates of arrival and departure of the projects are finalized.
3. PROJECT STAY: IQS students selected for the FLY program must assume the costs of transportation, housing and maintenance generated by the project. IQS reserves the right to offer scholarships to students who require them.
