As an organization grounded in being child-centered, we highly value our employees who demonstrate their consecutive commitment and loyalty to our students year after year. We know that a consistent group of caring teachers and school staff is essential to achieving the transformative educational experience and results students need and deserve. Because of this, we are excited to reward our employees for their commitment with a Student Loyalty Bonus that grows every year an employee renews their commitment to the organization and school community.
*Please note that Student Loyalty Bonuses are paid out in December of the following year, and employees must be employed on December 15 to receive the bonus.
CEN Progress to Teacher Certification Policy
In alignment with organizational values, the goal of the Progress to Teacher Certification Policy is to support our non-certified teaching staff in obtaining highly qualified, certified status.
CEN is committed to investing in the advancement of our non-certified teaching staff in the following ways:
paying the cost for up to two MTTC tests per school year in the content area the teacher is currently teaching
obtaining grant funds to pay the entire cost of the alternative route to teacher certification program with no required commitment from the teacher other than completing the current school year
when grant funds are not available, contributing $3,000 toward the cost of a program in exchange for a 3-year teaching commitment
providing ongoing high-quality, differentiated instructional coaching
IMPORTANT: As announced in November 2023, starting in the 2024-2025 school year, all non-certified teachers will be required to take the MTTC test twice per school year until they pass it. This step is critical in the process of teacher certification.
Step 1: Enroll in the MTTC test that aligns with your current content area.
Step 2: Email your receipt of payment to HR@cennonprofit.org for reimbursement.
Step 3: Prepare for the test by reviewing materials like these.
Step 4: Take the test.
Step 5: Email your test results to HR@cennonprofit.org.

Once you apply to receive the grant funds, please follow this process:
