Art is a class where students are given the chance to really look at the world around them and examine all the things that surround them. Art is just not about drawing and painting it can also take the forms of photography, music, poetry or any endeavor that you could use to express you inner thoughts and feelings.
Art is chance for you to make a mistake and it be ok. The process of doing something, even the mistakes is just as important as the final outcome, failure is always an option. Nothing is hard, its time consuming. Given enough time, anything can be done.
This website will serve as a course guide during our classes. Many things we cover will be on this website; however, not all of them will. Be sure to check in often!

Classroom Discipline:
For any questions regarding classroom management, discipline, and school policies, please consult the NDHS Student Handbook. The golden rule is that if learning is disrupted, you will be warned and given a minor infraction. Anything past that will result in removal from the class for that day and the student will be referred to administration.
Technology in the Classroom:
Technology will be used in this course. Students will have daily assignments that will be submitted through Google Classroom. Because of this, ALL students will be required to bring their, fully charged, DeSoto Parish School Board issued Chromebook to class, albeit virtual or in person. In the event that they do not, a warning and minor infraction will be issued. Any subsequent warnings will also result in a minor infraction.
Communication:
All communication will be completed through email and Google Classroom.
Grading: All projects will have a grading rubric attached in Google Classroom. Scores will have comments that explain how the score was given.
