De Soto Area Schools offers exceptional educational programs designed to meet the needs, interests and values of our students and their families. We are dedicated to providing a high quality, 21st century education to all our students, one that develops the critical skills needed to succeed in school, college, work and life. De Soto Virtual School provides an innovative learning structure where both parents and students may choose from hundreds of diversified courses, determine teaching approaches and methods, and have control over the learning experience with the ability to study and access materials 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

We offer students who reside in our district, along with families and students who open enroll to De Soto, greater flexibility in designing learning that is personalized to each individual's academic goals and learning outcome expectations. Parents and students may choose from traditional classroom experiences, blended education consisting of both online and on-site school classes, and home-based learning. Our accredited diverse courses offered within our De Soto Virtual School curriculum provides students with broad-based core classes and elective opportunities.

Our Educational Support Team collaborates with parents and students to design individualized learning plans for exceptional educational experiences leading to grade level promotion, high school graduation and success thereafter. Students and parents are supported by our curriculum Learning Coaches and Academic Advisors. De Soto Virtual School students and families also receive assistance from our School Counseling Department in career and college counseling.
