Goal
Run39 is D39C’s fun-filled volunteer-driven running club focused on enabling kids to get some exercise before school by running laps around school playground. The main goal is to encourage developing a healthy living style that includes exercise while stressing on proper procedures such as warm up and cool down. We track the kids' attendance and record laps and running trends individually and as a group. However, the focus is not on competition but rather on encouraging the kids to set and reach their personal running goals.

Run39 Lap Tracking Software
All Run39 participants will be provided badges with unique bar codes that are scanned by volunteers after the completion of each lap. These badges will be handed out at the first session.
Students are required to keep the badges carefully and bring them every Monday and Friday for their runs.
StrideTrack provides automation of our running club and provides parents a secure way to access their child’s progress online.
- To login in using your home computer:
Go to: https://www.stridetrack.net/StrideTrack/Login.do#/login
Enter the Runner ID which is the bar code number located on your child’s running club badge.
- To login using Apple or Android Devices:
Download free StrideTrack® app from ITunes App Store or Google Play Store. In the input box, enter the student Runner ID.
Additional Information:
- Please note that this is not an early drop off, the gates will be strictly open from 7:50-8:00 AM only for Run39 participants to enter (with badges visible)
- All kids must run on the designated track around the playground; No playing or visiting other parts of the campus is allowed until school starts. After two warnings, parents will be notified and the student will be removed from the roster. This is a serious safety issue for the school.

FAQs
How many laps does it take to run 1 mile?
3 laps around our track equals 1 mile.
Can parents get involved?
If you would like to volunteer on a consistent basis for the year , please contact run39.coach@gmail.com. At this point the volunteer team needs 3-4 more volunteers for the 2024-25 season, please reach us at above email id if you can help out! Level 2 clearance is required to volunteer.
Can parents run?
Change this year (2024-25): Our current priority is to recruit sufficient number of volunteers for starting this season. We will revisit the possibility of parents joining their students for the run with Level 1 clearance, later in the season.
Is there a cost?
Run39 is generously supported by the D39C Collaborative (via 39 Days of giving) as well as by a generous grant from the 4S Ranch/Del Sur Community Foundation. However we do request a $15 donation to help supplement the same (paid during Jumbula registration) to help :
a) purchase medals for our runners when they reach specific milestones as well as
b) end of year awards
c) Subscription costs of our lap tracking software (Stridetrack)
What if my child shows up without the badge?
Laps can ONLY be tracked with a badge/runner ID bar code. There will not be any manual adjustments made for students who do not receive bar code scans. In all credit to our Run39ers, in past years they have generally been very respectful and responsible with their badges. Please help us encourage them to continue the same. We do not have any "temporary replacement" badges this year due to the large number of runners and the overhead that maintaining a separate set of badges entails.
Lost/Damaged Badges: Volunteer team will consider providing a soft copy of the student's runner ID. It will be parent's responsibility to print replacement badge on card stock paper (smaller count/set of white cardstock is available online and in retail stores for ~$5) and laminate it to avoid smudges (please note that our volunteers go through a lot of effort to print, secure and insert into badge holder for the entire first set of badges). We will try to provide a spare badge holder for your use, pending availability.
My child has run more laps than what the Stridetrack App/website indicates? OR There are few missing laps in Stridetrack for my child?
Stridetrack is a reliable system that is used in several schools across the country. It has helped us automate the lap tracking process and will not be revised/edited manually. However, please keep in mind that human errors can occasionally occur and is simply a part of how a volunteer program works. We appreciate your understanding that we are unable to address requests to manually add "missing laps", no exceptions. Any such errors, if at all they occur, are statistically insignificant when considering the total number of laps scanned/run.
SCHOOL GOAL
Run39 is also a team effort. As in the past years, we have set a School Goal of 5600 miles which is the distance from San Diego to New York City and back! Our amazing runners easily achieved this goal by the end of the school year in the past.
We truly hope this provides an opportunity to all runners to set their running goals and also motivate them to achieve it.
