With the new year beginning, there's so much new music being released, and albums being talked about. Some new albums that are said to see the light of day include new music from Shame, following the drop of their EP “Nigel Hitter” which consist of a collection of modern rock songs. The Foo Fighters were also said to release a new album. They have already released 2 singles: “Shame Shame” and “No Son Of Mine.” “Waiting On A War” was also released, promoting their upcoming album, which is exciting to hear after their latest EP 00959525. It adds a vibrant twist to the sound we are all so used to hearing, yet keeps the classic Foo Fighter sound. On the other hand, All Time Low, Billie Eilish, and My Chemical Romance have all been rumoured to be releasing new music in the new year. More so, Zayn Malik, former One Direction singer, recently released a new album on the 15th of January. It stays true to his classic “Zayn” sound, yet adds a very different take on the classic sound by introducing more electric and acoustic guitars, while keeping a more mellow sound. The album Nobody is Listening includes 11 tracks full of intriguing and captivating new music. He started 2021 by releasing a single, “Vibez”, after the release of “Better” in 2020. Furthermore, whatever music 2021 has in store for us, we can all say that 2020 has pushed the boundaries of musicians, and creators giving them free time to grow and expand on their creativity, and knowledge on music. It was seen with the countless albums released and made during 2020. With Folklore and Evermore by Taylor Swift, Superbloom by Ashton Irwin, Molly Payton’s Porcupine EP, Boy Pablo’s Wachito Rico, The Wallows’ Remote Ep, and most recently Olivia Rodrigo’s debut sing “Drivers License” which made #1 on all platforms. We all go into 2021 with no expectations yet, high hopes for the music industry and creativity everywhere as people continue to make timeless works of art through music.
