Tiger Woods's Car Crash

Last tuesday evening, professional golfer Tiger Woods had to get surgery at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center on his right leg after being involved earlier in the day in a high-speed single car accident outside of Los Angeles. The accident left Woods in a very bad condition, with multiple fractures in his leg. Woods had fractured multiple tendons in both his upper and lower portions of his tibia. He also suffered damage to his ankles and trauma to the muscle in his leg. Woods had to go into a very long and complicated surgery which included inserting rods and screws into his legs in order to just stabilize him. The pro golfer was having a normal day when this happened. He was not speeding or using any illegal turns. The fact that Woods was wearing a seatbelt allowed him to escape what “otherwise would have been a fatal crash,” says  Carlos Gonzalez, an L.A. County Sheriff’s Department deputy who was the first to report to the scene of the accident. Woods was on route to go to a golf shoot with a golfing company when this happened. Sources say the crash happened at approximately 7:12 am. Woods is set to have a full recovery soon, but his conditions looked to be fatal at the beginning. Lcu doctors were able quickly to stabilize him and get him back on his feet.
