Ethan Horne is a well known name around Palm Desert High School for a variety of reasons. He looks exactly like Mr. Mazet and is the football team manager. Additionally, he is the ASB President. However, not many people know about what goes on in the daily life of the man himself. Luckily, as one of his best friends, I am qualified to inform you of his daily habits.
On a typical Tuesday morning, Mr. Horne wakes up at about 7:25 a.m. and immediately brushes his teeth and devours some avocado toast and eggs for breakfast before hopping into his History of Music zoom call. He then attends AP Biology and Art I before he joins the ASB call.
Tuesdays in ASB are spent covering a plethora of topics. First, he attends a business meeting in which the team makes sure that all clubs and groups have the necessary funds to proceed with scheduled events. Then, he meets with all of the different class officers to discuss new ideas. Finally, his 4th period is rounded off by a check that all members of ASB are up to date with the ongoings of ASB.
After a hard period’s work on zoom, Mr. Horne keeps his organs happy with a healthy caesar salad for lunch. His 5th and 6th periods are taken up by AP Literature and AP Government before he treats himself to a 30 minute break where he either watches television or scrolls through whatever on Earth he’s into on his phone. Amazingly to us mortals, Mr. Horne spends the rest of his time before dinner being productive and doing homework so that he can actually enjoy his night, which is usually spent watching sports, typically the Yankees. At around 8 p.m, he even manages to drag himself outside to jog a mile.
Clearly, I am lucky to call such a productive and hard-working young man one of my best friends. After getting the inside scoop about him, it is my hope that you have all gained a new level of respect for our oh-so important ASB President.
