KFC Moves from $5 Fill-Ups to $500 Consoles

With all the twists and turns companies have taken to stay aloft in these incredibly trying times, none compare to the change in direction everyone’s favorite chicken frying colonel is taking. KFC has now partnered with Cooler Master to bring us the newest fabrication we’ve all been waiting for: the KFConsole. That’s right, KFC has brought their fans a new way to enjoy their signature chicken. They have combined  a gaming console with their own “Chicken Chamber” to keep your mid-game meal nice and crispy while you play. Now when this absurd jumble of ideas was announced in June 2020, no one believed it was a real idea. That was until it was officially revealed in December, and now everyone is looking toward this new face in the console gaming battlefield. With the two large titans, Microsoft’s Xbox and Sony’s Playstation, continuously facing off for years, the spotlight has rarely been taken away from their competition. With Nintendo’s release of the Nintendo Switch the attention was shared for a brief period. However, it was taken back to the two powerhouses with their competing release of the Xbox Series X and the Playstation 5. The appeal of these two new consoles are their respective 4K resolution display capabilities, among many other bells and whistles. Now instead of boring you with Microsoft and Sony’s similar 8 core CPU and other such things, we’ll talk about how the Kentucky Fried Console compares to both. The KFConsole boasts about their “finger clicking good 4k quality” on the Cooler Master website, which is the same as both the Playstation 5 and the latest Xbox. However, it is also VR ready, so while you enjoy those 11 secret herbs and spices you can be exploring the world of virtual reality. While the KFConsole may not have the same style of hype as the Playstation and Xbox, there is quite a large following behind it. After the KFC Gaming account posted a reveal with the hashtag PowerYourHunger, people have been talking about this console all over social media. However, the biggest surprise of this endeavour isn’t that KFC has made a gaming console, it’s that they made one that warms your chicken. The so aptly named Chicken Chamber will utilize the heat produced by the console itself and its ventilation systems to keep the player’s fried chicken hot and crispy so it can be enjoyed between rounds of play. As weird as it may sound, KFC has gotten a lot of backing off of this. Many seasoned gamers have shown their support for this product and look forward to showcasing it. Plus, it isn’t like this the weirdest thing to come out of 2020.
