At Shadow Hills Early College program, our purpose is to strive to develop critical thinkers who analyze the questions of today to create solutions for tomorrow.
Students:
will be provided the opportunity for a dynamic future via a rigorous college and standards-based curriculum,
will be dedicated to relevant college aligned pathways, certificates, and degrees,
will be supported through literacy based instructional practices, and
will be mentored through skilled professional relationships on both the high school and college platforms.

Who:
Students who are choosing the community college path after high school
Students who are considering CSU/UC system after high school and want to complete general education courses for transfer
Students wanting to go into a career right after high school
Students who are first generation, low income, or racially diverse
When: During school hours
Where: Shadow Hills High School
Fees: Free
*Priority registration on Shadow Hills campus

Who:
Students unsure if they want to attend a college/university post high school and are curious about the courses
Students who just to challenge themselves through individual courses.
When: During school hours

*Courses are based on availability
Concurrent Enrollment

Who:
Students who are choosing to graduate high school with an Associate's degree
Students who are choosing to graduate high school with a certificate in a career pathway
When:
During the school day for general education courses
Before and after school, summer, winter, weekends for Associate's degree or certificate courses
Where:
Shadow Hills High School (general education courses)
College of the Desert (Shadow's partner site)
Fees: Books/materials may need to be rented or purchased for courses on the COD campus
*Courses at COD are based on availability
**College campuses that are not our partner site, need to be discussed individually
