My name is Sarah McKenzie and I am very happy to be your child's teacher. We will have a great year! This is my seventh year teaching at Carter and my tenth year of teaching. I love being a part of the learning process and watching things "click" for my students. It is a wonderful experience watching their minds, independence, and confidence grow throughout the year.
I grew up in the desert and happily returned to teach in my home district. I did my undergraduate work at the University of San Diego (go Toreros!), my credential work at Cal State San Bernardino, and received my masters from Chapman University.
Aside from teaching, I enjoy reading, hiking, visiting the beach, and other travel adventures with my husband. We enjoy our time with our two adopted pups, Maui and Auggie.
