Counseling Program Mission Statement

The mission of the Thomas Jefferson Middle School counseling program is to inspire all students to reach their maximum potential through their academic, career, and social/emotional development. All students will have:

• The opportunity to become successful college- and career-ready, world-class citizens

• Equitable access to the Thomas Jefferson Middle School counseling program, which provides developmentally appropriate activities including individual counseling and school counseling curriculum lessons

• A school counselor that advocates for equity and access to challenging courses, enrichment opportunities, and differentiated instruction, as well as, fairness, justice, and respect for all of our students
